Don Julio Blanco

Don Julio Blanco is a clean, easy-drinking tequila that leans more commercial than “traditional.” You get cooked agave, light citrus and pepper, with a touch of sweetness that can feel a bit artificial, plus some vegetal/yeasty notes depending on the bottle. It’s smooth enough for shots or simple cocktails, but the alcohol shows through and the finish can turn slightly bitter and thin. Overall it’s fine and widely available, but there are more characterful blancos at the same or lower price.
