Sourced from agaves from Rancho Tierras Negras and briefly aged in oak barrels, this vintage expression of the brand offers a rich and balanced aromatic profile, fully showcasing the character of the agave and its terroir.

Ocho Reposado has tons of sweet cooked agave and fresh herbs with just a gentle kiss of oak. On the nose and palate I get citrus, green banana, mint and herbal tea, with cinnamon/black pepper spice and a little vanilla/caramel from the barrel. It stays fairly light in body but still manages a nice mix of sweet agave, earthy/mineral notes and a peppery, slightly warming finish. Overall it’s a clean, characterful repo that showcases the agave first and the barrel second.
