Fortaleza Reposado

Fortaleza Reposado really feels like the sweet spot between classic agave and gentle barrel aging. On the nose you get cooked agave, caramel and vanilla with some citrus, herbs and a touch of baking spice. The palate is silky and rich without being heavy – sweet agave, oak, cinnamon, pepper and a bit of fruit (lemon, cherry, banana) all play together without any one note taking over. The finish hangs around nicely with oak, spice and minerality, and it always makes you want another sip. Hard to find, but when you do, it absolutely lives up to the hype.
